Bookings for Obergurgl and Grindelwald are open now

Unfortunately our planned trip to Serre Chevalier has been cancelled by the operator.  If you’ve already sent in an application for this trip, we have already been in touch.  Bookings are open for our two other exciting trips to the Alps, however.  Please check our Holidays page for full details.

You can book an ESC holiday with confidence, knowing that our holidays are doubly safe: if your holiday were cancelled by the operator (even if this occurred whilst away), you’d be refunded, and if necessary, repatriated.  ATOL and ABTA protections also mean you’re protected, even if the operators we have chosen, both of whom are financially secure, ran into problems. What a year! Committee meeting – 8th July

The next committee meeting will take place on Wednesday 8th of July at 7pm. Please contact us if you have any questions or comments you would like the committee to consider.

Covid-19 update: all events cancelled

In the light of recent government announcements relative to the outbreak of coronavirus, the Edinburgh Ski Club committee has decided to cancel all social events until further notice.
This includes:
  • Climbing night: 16th March
  • Fondue night: 4th April
  • Club rooms BYOB: 16th April
  • Northumberland Weekend: 24-27th April
  • Obergurgl booking night: 30th April
  • Ski hire on Thursday nights
We have relaxed our refund policy, and the event organisers and our treasurer will be in touch to organise refunds for those who had already booked tickets to those events. Our holiday to Les Arcs was also cancelled and we will be issuing refunds as soon as we received payment from the tour operator. Refunds may take a while to be processed as we work our way through them, please bear with us in the meantime.
If you have hired skis from us, please keep hold of them for the time being.

We will get together again when it is appropriate for ski club events to return, and we will certainly re-schedule some event from the above list. Until then, we sincerely hope you and your families are staying well under these unprecedented circumstances.
