We are looking into a possible fourth ski holiday to Whistler in Canada next March/Arpil (i.e. before Easter), probably 10 days or 2 weeks. To do this we would need names up front, plus deposits, before booking. Please email Ian Wilson if you might be interested in such a trip. Discussion of it is on the forum.
We are looking for a volunteer to take the lead in organising a potential ski holiday for our members who are teachers at half-term or Easter holiday next year. Names would be required up front, and deposits paid direct to Sue our holiday operator so the club has no liability. If you might be interested in this holiday please contact Ian Wilson.
Names of who is going on which holiday are posted on the forum. Please double check your name is the same as that used on your passport, as correcting this later may cost you £50.
Please see the forum to confirm that your cheque has been received.
Add a reply to the relevant forum holiday topic if you want to share a room with someone.

Please ..... remember that I only do the ski club holiday organizing in my spare time. I am not a travel agent or a tour operator or a holiday rep, and if the information you are looking for is not on the web site or in the brochures then its likely that I wont know either.
If your question is not answered on the web site or forum then I can be contacted via email at

European Health Insurance (EHI) Cards
Please find below an extract from The Guardian website
Holidaymakers travelling to Europe are being warned that some insurers may not pay up following a medical claim if the patient does not hold the new European Health Insurance Card. The card, which replaced the E111 form on Jan 1, entitles the holder to free or reduced cost essential medical treatment in all EU countries, as well as Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein. Unlike the E111, which covered the whole family, every family member must hold their own card. However, the insurance comparison website moneysupermarket.com is warning holidaymakers that some travel insurers may refuse some claims if the customer isn't carrying the card. Like the E111 scheme, the new card only offers relatively low level financial reimbursement for basic medical bills, and holidaymakers should not view it as a complete replacement for travel insurance. Some insurers will even waive your excess if you tell them you hold a EHI Card, which could save you as much as £150." People can apply for the EHI Card online at (dh.gov.uk/travellers), by phone (0845 606 2030) or by post, with forms available from the post office; however the process can take up to three weeks by post compared to seven days online. The card is normally valid for three to five years.
