Why join us?

Meet like-minded people who share your love of snowsports and the outdoors

Edinburgh Ski Club is a great place to meet fellow snow worshippers and outdoor enthusiasts. Our members are usually keen skiers and boarders but also take part in a lot of other activities including mountain biking, road cycling, hill walking, climbing and much more.

Expand your social circle and enjoy our fantastic events throughout the year

Our social programme is just as important to us as our snowsports activities. Come along to one of our regular meet ups which can be anything from a pub night, going to a local restaurant, cheese and wine nights, water skiing, our new members party, indoor climbing and many, many more activities. Check our events calendar for more details.

Join the Club for exclusive member benefits and discounts

We have secured generous discounts with outdoor shops and suppliers, available exclusively to our members. If you have an active membership, you can see all currently available offers on this page

The Club is also an affiliated club with the governing body Snowsports Scotland. Our members enjoy their member benefits which include worldwide civil liability insurance and discount lift passes at Scottish ski resorts.

Take part in fun-filled weekends away across the United Kingdom

We organise weekends outings each year, including with our annual winter trip to Ballachulish in February. Many more weekends in Scotland and elsewhere are often arranged informally through the network of members that makes up the Club. For more information on the upcoming trips, check the weekends page

Enjoy exclusive holidays to some of Europe’s premier ski resorts at competitive prices

As a club, we organise up to three holidays every year in superb European locations. Many of our members also book their own trips: meeting other skiers and boarders through the Club means you will always have holiday buddies. For more information, head to the holiday page

Take part in our organised expert coaching sessions

Our resident coach offers ski lessons at various levels to prepare our members for the winter season, and can also help recommend other lessons at Hillend. For more details, check the ski coaching page

Access first-class ski and snowboard equipment at greatly subsidised prices

Our ski and snowboard equipment is renewed regularly and kept in great condition. Our prices are extremely competitive, and we stock many accessories including radios and shovels. We also have a fully equipped servicing workshop available for our members to use. To see the full list of available equipment, head to the hire section

Where we meet

We meet regularly throughout the season at our Club Rooms on Howe Street as well as at many other locations for our varied events programme. Check out our events calendar or our Facebook page for details on all of our upcoming activities. Feel free to come along to one of our open events and meet some of our members before signing up. You can contact our membership team beforehand so we can look out for you - we know how daunting it can be when you are new to a club!
