Follow our five-step process to book an Edinburgh Ski Club holiday and find out how to join a waiting list when our holidays are fully booked.

Booking process

Holiday bookings for the January 2023 holiday will open at our fondue event on 27 May, and bookings for the March 2023 holidays will open at the Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the autumn - keep an eye on this website and the mailer for more details.  Don't risk missing out on a holiday by not applying in time!

1. Join the Club

To book a holiday you must be a fully paid up member of Edinburgh Ski Club for the current year. You must also maintain your membership during the year in which the holiday takes place.

2. Read our holiday terms and conditions

Before booking a holiday please make sure you have read our holiday terms and conditions. Find out more about bookings, payments, ski carriage and cancellations.

3. Complete the holiday booking form

You must complete one booking form per person, per holiday, in full, or supply the same information by email, as described in section 4. The information you supply with be handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

4. Submit your booking form

You can apply at the AGM or other booking event, or by email.

You can bring a completed application form to the AGM or other booking event (blanks will not be available on the night).  If applying by email, you may scan and email the booking form to holidays@edinburghskiclub.org.uk if you wish. Alternatively you can simply send an email containing the following information:

  • First and surnames, as shown on passport (no middle names)
  • Date of birth
  • Which holiday you wish to book
  • If you are booking Les Arcs, whether you want ski carriage
  • If you are booking Tignes or Val Thorens, whether you want the full package including lift pass and ski carriage (if you don't specify, this is the default; if you want free basic ski rental instead of ski carriage, please specify this).
  • Any dietary or other requirements
  • Any preferred room-mate

If you're not coming to the AGM or booking event, make sure you apply before noon on the day of the event to ensure your application goes into any draw for places on the night.

Payment of the £175 deposit must be made by bank transfer within a week of booking and the holidays organiser will be in touch to request this.  Credits cards, cheques and cash are not accepted.  Please do not send forms to the Clubrooms.

Special requests and room-mate preferences will be taken into account where reasonable and practicable. However, on occasion room allocations may need to be changed to ensure the smooth running of the holiday as a whole.

In all cases, please do not send a bank transfer for the deposit or balance until requested by the holiday organiser.

5. Pay your holiday balance

Holiday balance payments are due later in the year.  These can be paid by bank transfer; we don't accept cash, cheque or card payments for ESC holidays.  Full information is available on the holidays page.
