Booking process

Holiday bookings for 2022 will open at the Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the autumn.  Check the process below, and keep an eye on this website and the mailer for more details.

Have a look at our holiday details to see what is on offer this year and choose which holiday you would like to go on.

4. Submit your booking form

You can apply (we hope!) in person at the AGM, or by email or post.

If you are coming to the AGM, please bring your fully completed booking form and cheque payment of £175 deposit for Serre Chavalier or Arabba, or £1,170 for Obergurgl (£955 without lift pass or ski carriage), made payable to ‘Edinburgh Ski Club’.  Alternatively you can make a bank transfer within a week of the AGM.  Please note blank forms will not be available at the AGM.

If applying by post, please contact dales.pearce@edinburghskiclub.org.uk for the revised postal address, and send your fully completed booking form and your cheque payment of £175 deposit for Serre Chavalier or Arabba, or £1,170 for Obergurgl (£955 without lift pass or ski carriage), made payable to ‘Edinburgh Ski Club’.  Alternatively you can make a bank transfer within a week of the AGM.  Cheques will not be banked until after the AGM.  Please do not send forms or cheques to the Clubrooms.

If applying by email, you may scan and email the booking form to dales.pearce@edinburghskiclub.org.uk if you wish. Alternatively you can simply send an email containing the following information:

  • First and surnames, as shown on passport (no middle names)
  • Date of birth
  • Which holiday you wish to book
  • If you are booking Obergurgl or Serre Chevalier, whether you want the full package including lift pass and ski carriage (if you don't specify, this is the default; if you want free basic ski rental instead of ski carriage, please specify this).
  • If you're booking Arabba, whether you want a lift pass, ski carriage, or both (at a discount)
  • Any dietary or other requirements
  • Any preferred room-mate

If you are applying by email or post, make sure you apply before noon on the day of the AGM to ensure your application goes into any draw for places on the night.

Special requests and room-mate preferences will be taken into account where reasonable and practicable. However, on occasion room allocations may need to be changed to ensure the smooth running of the holiday as a whole.

In all cases, please do not send a bank transfer for the deposit or balance until requested by the holiday organiser.

5. Pay your holiday balance

January holiday payments are due in full within a week of the AGM.  The March holiday balance payments are due later in the year.  These can be paid by cheque or bank transfer. We don't accept card payments for ESC holidays.  Full information is available on the holidays page.
