Follow our five-step process to book an Edinburgh Ski Club holiday and find out how to join a waiting list when our holidays are fully booked.
Holiday bookings are open now for 2021, and the result of any draw for places will be announced at the Club’s virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 16 September 2020. If you want to be in any draw for a place, you need to apply in advance. Check the process below, and keep an eye on this website and the mailer for more details. Look out for announcements later in 2021 about the 2022 booking process and timetable.

1. Join the Club
To book a holiday you must be a fully paid up member of Edinburgh Ski Club for the current year. You must also maintain your membership during the year in which the holiday takes place.
2. Read our holiday terms and conditions
Before booking a holiday please make sure you have read our holiday terms and conditions. Find out more about bookings, payments, ski carriage and cancellations.

For our 2021 holidays, booking in person won't be possible. You can apply at any time up to 10am on 16 September 2020 if you wish to be included in any draw for places at our AGM later that day. Applications received after 10am on 16 September will be processed after the AGM.
You can apply by post or by email.
If applying by post, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the revised postal address, and send your fully completed booking form and your cheque payment of £175 deposit for Grindlewald, or £1,170 for Obergurgl (£955 without lift pass or ski carriage), made payable to ‘Edinburgh Ski Club’. Alternatively you can make a bank transfer within a week of the AGM. Cheques will not be banked until after the AGM. Please do not send forms or cheques to the Clubrooms.
If applying by email, you may scan and email the booking form to email@example.com if you wish. Alternatively you can simply send an email containing the following information:
- First and surnames, as shown on passport (no middle names)
- Date of birth
- Which holiday you wish to book
- If you are booking Obergurgl, whether you want the full package including lift pass and ski carriage (if you don't specify, this is the default; if you want free basic ski rental instead of ski carriage, please specify this).
- Any dietary or other requirements
- Any preferred room-mate
- Whether or not you would like to request ski carriage. For the March holidays, places are limited. The organiser will contact you after booking to confirm whether or not your ski carriage request can be met.
Special requests and room-mate preferences will be taken into account where reasonable and practicable. However, on occasion room allocations may need to be changed to ensure the smooth running of the holiday as a whole.
In all cases, please do not send a bank transfer for the deposit or balance until requested by the holiday organiser.
5. Pay your holiday balance
January holiday payments are due within a week of the AGM which is on 16 September. The March holiday payment is due by the end of November. These can be paid by cheque or bank transfer. We don't accept card payments for ESC holidays. Full details are available in the holidays details.
